Meet my companion this weekend:
Years ago, I was actually a business administration + economics major in college. However, neither school nor my real-world work experience in big firms really taught me how to start / run a small business.
No worries; the library came to my rescue!
Admittedly these titles scare me (bookkeeping? legal guide? business plan? what?), but they are also intriguing. People often say that being a professional photographer means 10% of the time shooting, 90% of the time managing the business. Luckily, I enjoy both sides of things :) So, bring it on!

yay for you! nerd.
i hated the business and admin tasks of a small business. luckily, there are people out there not *too* expensive you can hire out the tasks you don’t like/aren’t good at/don’t do quickly or efficiently enough to. but no, i have no referrals nearby. wah wah wah.
Eeek! It’s almost like going back to school. Although, at least it’s for something that is near and dear to your heart. :)
Let me know if you want help with your contracts!
I have some books somewhere with stuff on entrepreneurship and actually starting a small business. I’ll see if The Outdoorsman can find the books and give them to you.
Good luck! Sounds like facsinating reading. :)
